I want to learn .Net Framework through C#. Due to tight schedule, I don't want to join a workshop. Please suggest the best forum(as javaranch is for java) for learning ".Net Framework through C#" and also recommend self learning material for beginners(books+Online Tutorials).

Most Java developers don't know .NET so you aren't likely to get an answer here. I recommend googling and seeing what turns up.

Thanks Jeanne.. I'm going through a learning phase. So without learning one, how would I compare the other!! I must appreciate that you correctly spelt ".NET" without knowing it. Thanks Moderators for shifting the question to 'Meaningless Drivel'.

If you need an opinion data point... currently.... I like C# better. Partly because it still has the new car smell for me, but mainly because I really like Visual Studios, which I haven't used since the old MFC days. I just wished that it was able to deal with Java better though ... ... and also have a CVS plug-in available. C'mon Microsoft! Where are all the plugins at ?

I knew I would regret that burrito. But this tiny ad has never caused regrets:
