I've used PMD static analysis tool, it's like FindBugs, but is operate on source code, instead of bytecode.
Do you plan to integrate it with continuous integration servers like Jenkins?

Change impact analysis is mostly about design, architecture, or process, not so much about an implementation - so Java (or any other language) doesn't figure much into it.

I've never had a need to use it on design, architecture, or process stages, only on implementation.
Nazeer, what kind of task you trying to solve with this technique?
