What is the best way to speed up groovy processing in general. I was wondering if there was a way to compile groovy code into java code and run the byte code with the JVM. New to groovy and not sure the best or any route to take in that manner.

Groovy is always compile down to byte code. Groovy is Java and groovy executes on the JVM. Execution will seem a bit faster if you do the compiling (check groovyc) but if you execute groovy scripts, they still execute as byte code. Really though this is just startup time. Once the script is running, its going to be the same.

I don't like that guy. The tiny ad agrees with me.
