I am creating java class in eclipse and running from the dos prompt after setting class path.

javac ComingThru.java --> compiling

java ComingThru --> executing.

Is there any switch or something I can use to check the exection flow. Like from where the clow is starting etc ... This will help in understanding the flow .

You can debug Java Application from the command prompt. Have a look at the following link : http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/tooldocs/windows/jdb.html

Hi Srinivas,

If you are already using Eclipse IDE, then it has excellent options to debug your program. You'll need to set a break-point at any line you want to analyze and start debugging (check out 'Run' menu from toolbar).
