Hello,

IS there any library for manipulating pdf ?! . I see itext which has to be paid for using in commercial projects , please let me know if there is anything else along with it's reference.

I'm going to use itext 4.2.0 , got the first edition of itext in Action , Searching for examples Zip file...

There is no iText 4.2, and never was. iText 2 can be used pretty freely, and that's what iText in Action 1st ed is about.

It was the Final LGPL/MPL release of iText-4.2.0

Hm, that looks like a fork to me that wasn't done by any of the iText committers. Their last LGPL version was 2.1.7, before they switched to the AGPL for iText 5.
