Hi All,

The below code is mentioned in our web.xml configuration file.

<web-app ...>
<session-config>
<session-timeout>20</session-timeout>
</session-config>
</web-app>

But if We want to upload a larger file which takes around 15 to 20mins but session is getting timed out around 10min.
Please provide the solution for above issue.

Unlikely. More likely it is the browser connection that is timing out.

Hi,

Well first of all,
what is the application/web server (Tomcat, JBoss, BEA, etc) and how is configured?

Seems strange that a configured session of 20 for the web app. in fact times out at 10 minutes.
Is there some session timeout configured in the application/web server or in some proxy/firewall/balancer/...?

A ugly workaround is to do a pig back from the client to the server in background (asynchronous ajax) while you upload the file,
the pig back will maintain the session active.

As said is a ugly workaround, better check from where comes this 10 minutes session timeout.

Best regards,
