Java SOA Developer
Duration: 24 months
Location: Detroit, MI
Rate: $55.00/hr. 1099 or C2C

The Services Developer will be responsible for business services development and integration for Customer IT SOA platform. The Services Developer solves technical problems, writes message flows and transformations, writes code for applications and services, and configures integration points. They will work in a highly collaborative, cross functional development team and may take a lead role on various software components.

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience
Minimum 4 years software development experience including 2 years of Java and JEE
Minimum 1 year expertise in IBM SOA / Integration tools, specifically Websphere Message Broker, Data Power, Web Services, JMS and Websphere MQ
Thorough understanding of Java/J2EE, web services and development of service oriented applications
Thorough understanding of and experience in object oriented design and programming
Experience with an agile development methodology, including XP method such as Test Driven Development and pair programming
Experience developing RESTful and SOAP based web services
Experience developing on application servers such as Websphere Application Server and WebLogic
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Creative problem solving skills and ability to effectively communicate and translate feedback, needs and solutions
Must have strong teamwork orientation and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams Preferred
Working knowledge of SAP and SAP integration technologies.
Experience with a variety of Database Systems, such as LDAP, Oracle, DB2, and SQLServer.
