Hi all, my name is Brandon Pecylak, and this would be my first post.

I've been doing java since my senior year of highschool (so about 5 years now), and the company that just hired me is having me take the OCAJP 7. I've been studying for about 2 weeks now using the Enthuware mock exams as I gleaned from lurking here that they're a great resource. I will be taking the exam this wednesday.

So here's my question: how good of a litmus test are the mock standard exams for results on the real exams. My latest exam score (test 5) was a 79%. I'm hesitant to take the final exam because I don't know if I'm on the right track as far as scores go and don't want to waste it.

Thanks in advance!

You might want to check this page: http://enthuware.com/index.php/ocajp-7-average-scores
It shows the average score on Enthuware Standard Tests vs the real Exam score of Enthuware users. This should give you an idea about your level.

HTH,
Paul.

Thanks, Paul.

I had seen this before (in the tree-view of the software), but didn't know how accurate it was. Though, if it's a good estimator, then I'm feeling much better about where I'm at.

In our experience, it has been very accurate. But I would say at the very least it is more accurate than one or two responses that you may receive here because of the number of data points available.

Fair enough. I was just unsure of if there was any kind of bias of successes reporting scores vs. failures.

Also, just took the unique exam and got an %88, so I'm feeling very confident about taking the certification tomorrow morning.

Thanks for all your help!
