Hello ,

I am an Senior Java Developer having 12 yrs of extensive java/j2ee experience. Recently I have been exploring about Hadoop in big data and more interested in taking up "CCDH: Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop ". Would like to know your suggestions/comments on how hadoop can add value to my career considering that my next path will be a solution architect. Also, being in service company there is a little chance that I may not be getting a real project based on Hadoop.

I am little confused on whether I should stick on to java/j2ee technologies with my focus on frameworks especially Spring (getting certified there) or focus on Hadoop as additional skills and request for a project on that. Your advice would be really helpful for me.
