I am recently placed in project which is going to be built with Oracle's ADF technology(an extension to JSF) which is very new to the market.
I want to ask you people how good is this technology going to be in the coming future. will it emerge like what struts, hibernate, springs did? what is the future of this techonology? is there any body who worked on this....
Oracle ADF is not the extension of JSF. With in Oracle ADF, ADF faces which helps to implement View part of MVC,is an extension of the JSF components. As of now Oracle is playing big on ADF. And Oracle itself is implementing its next release of Oracle Apps(Oracle Fusion) in Oracle ADF. Oracle ADF is offcourse a next generation J2EE development framework .I am working on it since last one year. But I am also looking for the answer that whether Oracle ADF will gain some market share in J2EE application framework world or it will continued to be used with in Oracle it self.
Yes, what you said is right. Ofcourse ADF is an excellent framework for J2EE development. But am not able to know how much it is going to gain market share in the future. As of now we are using JDev 10.1.3.1.0. which version you are using??
