Erm...what error? Your question is very vague; but if I were to venture a guess, I'd say there's a conflict between a class in what you're trying to compile with one that has already been pre-loaded.

But we're going to need a LOT more information before we can be of any help. The actual text of the message would probably be a start; and if it's a part of a stacktrace, copy the first 10 lines or so.

I wasn't deveoping an Android project. But, In my Spring project I was using JRE instead of JDK. So, I changed my project to use JDK in place of the JRE and I was able to clear this error message. But here's a link to the same error message

Fatal Error : Invalid Layout of java.lang.String at value

Welcome to the Ranch
I am not sure that SO link helps you a lot. It does however show that we are right to block the use of “u” as a wor‍d.
Simply getting rid of the error message doesn't mean you have a project free from errors. As Winston says, we would need lots more information before we can help.

Thanks. I don't think it will be of no use. More than 100 people has found that userful. And the answer it related to the same error message posted by the user and it is related to android as is the case of the OP. Is it not welcome here to post useful links in answers?
