Hello ranchers,

I know that, this question has been asked multiple times in this forums and also answered. However, I do have a question related to the difference. I know that SCBCD 5.0 is based on EE 5 where as 1Z0-895 is based on EE6 and split into two parts. If I take SCBCD 5.0, it covers both EJB and JPA (ofcourse a version older), but can get both of them done in one single certification and also one amount, where as if I had to take for version 6.0, I need to take two separate tests and also pay twice. I don't mind taking the version 6.0, if it is actually adding a huge value compared to version 5.0. If any one of you had taken both versions, what will be your advise ? to go with 5.0 or 6.0 in terms of both knowledge and investment.

Also, what do you suggest for specs implementation and container for practice. Can the reference implementation from sun/oracle and their server sufficient for grasping the concepts, or should I go with JBoss or some thing else

Thanks

Hi,

My advice: always go for the latest exam.

I mostly used Glassfish, but every now and then I went to JBoss as well. Both of them are good enough.

Regards,
Frits
