I'm reading Budi Kurniawan's book. Some sentences are very difficult to understand. What does the below sentence mean?

Annotating a servlet not in the deployment descriptor in an application with a deployment descriptor will still work.

Hi,

I agree it is not the best sentence, and I guess he wants to say:

"Instead of declaring the Servlet in a deployment descriptor, you can declare it with annotations" The presence of a deployment descriptor in a web-application doesn't necessarily mean that you have to declare everything in the deployment descriptor.

Regards,
Frits
