Hello,

I'm trying to use java to read some files from an iPhone/iPod/iPad but I'm encountering a problem at the very base of this.
I'm unable to actually detect the iPhone. I've tried using File.listRoots() but the iphone isn't in the list, I'm sure it's connected and I can just browse it normally on my computer.
I'm running windows 7, but I'd like to make this desktop application working on all java supported platforms.
Any ideas on how I could detect the i-device?

Thanks in advance,

FlashYoshi

iPhones and the like are not mounted as external drives, so I think your idea is dead in the water.

Isn't there any other way to acces the iPhone? If not does it work on unix based systems? I've noticed that exploring an iPhone is tons easier on linux than on windows.
