I have Acer Aspire 7740G-7979 laptop.

Battery for this laptop needs to be replaced. Current battery specifications are 11.1V, 4400mAh, 6 cells
Laptop's specifications are 19V-3.42A.

I was checking online for replacement battery and wanted to buy 8 cell battery. But it was a note for this battery that "This item will not fit for 11.1V Laptop"

My laptop is 19V-3.42A. , does it mean that its 11.1v ? will this 8 cell battery with a note "This item will not fit for 11.1V Laptop", work with my laptop ? If not then why not ? If 11.1v battery can work with 19v laptop then why not
14.8V 5200mAh/8Cells work with same laptop ?

Till date I was using 11.1V, 4400mAh, 6 cells, which was working fine. But I did not know about my laptop's specifications (I never checked it).

Please guide me.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
