Hi,

I have a situation, where my source jsp includes another jsp, which is coded in custom tag lib. this tag lib is not part of my build. the included jsp actually contains a piece of fragment which comes from say some CMS, as a media item. Do you think, this jsp will come in rendered form, or should I include the tag lib in my build, so that it may render it, once the request is made for that page. I am using jsp:include for including this fragment.

What happened when you tried it with and without the taglib declaration?

Actually, I didn't tried it yet, as the design is still in progress, and I needed to get some idea on this, so that I may follow up different direction otherwise.

I would suggest writing a few lines of code to test it out.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
