New to Java

Greetings,

My name is Kore. I am new to Java, but not to programming. Did a minor course in C++ back in college and I built a simple website using phpBB. I am looking to learn Java to experiment with robotics, interfaces and Advanced Web Design. I hail from Jamaica.

Just giving a shoutout and looking for pointers on the general way of doing things on this website.
