The Intelligent Systems Research Laboratory (www.isr.reading.ac.uk) pursues a research agenda that is pushing forward the frontiers of advanced Video-Analytics and Multi-modal Multimedia Indexing and Semantic Search.

The ISR Laboratory is seeking to appoint 2 Research Fellows with strong software engineering capability particularly C++/Java programming, Image and Signal Processing, and, experience in any of the areas of Video Content Analysis, Video Coding and Video-Analytics.

Some knowledge of any of the following additional areas will be an advantage:
• Multi-media Metadata Engineering, Information Retrieval
• User Modelling and Recommender Systems
• Sensor Fusion, Situation Assessment
• Decision Support Systems
• Multi-Agent Semantic Workflow Integration
• Human-Computer/Robot Interactive Systems

Candidates are invited to apply with a minimum of BSc (Hons), or, preferably MSc/PhD in Computer Science/ Engineering or Mathematics, experience in C++/Java programming and system integration. Salary range is £27,854 - £36,298 per annum; fixed-term, full-time, 1-year Research Fellowship, University of Reading, Faculty of Science, School of Systems Engineering, WhiteKinghts Campus , Reading , UK.
