This particular firm have built a first-class reputation as providing one of the most advanced analytics This particular firm have built a first-class reputation as providing one of the most advanced analytics platforms in the financial markets community and over the years have identified some of the strongest developers to be part of their business in order to assure the on-going success of the firm.

Due to anticipated greenfield projects in the next 12-18 months they are on the lookout for a strong Java/JEE developer with a proven track record of working in complex messaging/data/API-driven platform environments using the latest emerging technologies in this space.

The particular focus is on a JEE developer who can think like an architect but offer strong delivery skills for both existing platforms as well as new product designs. The original application layer was built in C++ several years ago but since then the focus has been on a more "pure" JEE framework and thus needs an individual that can understand the inherent challenges of migrating or duplicating product functionality into the Java language.

You will gain exposure to the latest Java/JEE tools but also be the kind of person that is making recommendations when a particular technology or methodology is not working towards market standards.

The following skills will be assessed when deciding who to interview:

-Balance of experience between core Java and JEE frameworks.
-Experience of working in messaging, data-driven or API focused applications.
-Webservices, WebSphere, Glassfish and related tools experience.
-Dedication to Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
-A natural flair for team leading potential.
-EJB experience.
-n-Tier architecture.

The team pride themselves in recruiting some of the best talent in the market and thus the role will appeal to individuals that have made careful and consistent choices in both their education and employers.

Interested parties should send their CV in confidence to discuss further.
