Hi,

I am getting this output before compilation messages when I run javac command to compile some java file. Also the time is different. It says VET when it should be of my country e, PST; it is 9.5 hours behind.

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall JDK?

You might check your %CLASSPATH% for .jar files, and then check the Manifest of each of those .jars via the DOS command: jar xf jar-file.jar

There will be a manifest entry with errant records that refer to "Depends-On".

When I am compiling simple Java class, I get this output before result of that compile. That is why I am confused.

Do I need to uninstall JDK 1.6_06 and reinstall it?

Thanks,

Using echo command in window:

C:\Users\WS2>echo %classpath%
.;C:\VisualCafe\Java\Lib;C:\VisualCafe\Java\Lib\SYMCLASS.ZIP;C:\VisualCafe\Java\Lib\CLASSES.ZIP;C:\VisualCafe\Java\Lib\COLLECTIONS.ZIP;C:\VisualCafe\Java\Lib\ICEBROWSERBEAN.JAR;C:\VisualCafe\Java\Lib\JSDK.JAR;
C:\VisualCafe\Java\Lib\SYMTOOLS.JAR;C:\VisualCafe\JFC\SWINGALL.JAR;C:\VisualCafe\Bin\Components\SFC.JAR;C:\VisualCafe\Bin\Components\SYMBEANS.JAR;C:\VisualCafe\Java\Lib\DBAW.ZIP;C:\VisualCafe\Bin\Components\DBAW_AWT.JAR;C:\VisualCafe\Bin\Components\Databind.JAR;C:\VisualCafe\Java\Lib\Olite35.jar;

To unset classpath I used

set classpath=

Now I am not getting any unrelated output during compilation ie javac...

So you are right!

Thanks,

Are you using Visual Café? As far as I know that's an IDE from very long ago (more than 10 years ago). I wouldn't use that anymore. If you want a good, modern IDE, look at Eclipse, NetBeans or IntelliJ.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
