Hello,
I'll like to know the job functions of a programmer who is webservices certified in java. I'll like to know if webservices has anything to do with telecoms. Please advise.

Web services are an architectural concept. As such, they are applicable in all industries.

@ULF. Please explain further..n architectural concept hasn't explained it in core details.. What can i use webservices to achieve in todays business world?

WS are much too big a concept to explain in a forum post like this. Start with some of the introductory aticles in the http://www.coderanch.com/how-to/java/WebServicesFaq, and maybe the Wikipedia articles on SOA and Web Service, and then move on to the ones about SOAP and REST.

I agree with Ulf, Webservice is a concept, also you need to find the need of it before applying it to your business project.
