How to create number Format with jexcel api - decimal separator  RSS feed

hello,
i would like to create a number format wich give me an easy way to read my cells, as i have large number i would like to apply a new format on my numbers, like the example below :

76213879519 --- >76 213 879 519

or

76213879519 --- >76.213.879.519

Did you check out the Jexcel API? There's a jxl.write.NumberFormats class

With questions like these, I always suggest starting with Excel itself. Try to create a custom (hint) format for the cell that will do what you require. There is likely to be an example that you can edit; it will show the various placeholder characters that determine where the numeric characters and the separators will be placed. This formatting string will most likely be very similar to the one you pass to JExcels NumberFormat class.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
