I'm currently working on a small project that would convert a word document to a PDF. I know that I can use the HWPF to do this. But I'm not sure if only this would be enough for what I'm looking for? Do I need to consider using this along with iText? Is there any specific things that I should consider when using these frameworks? Is there an alternative?

Why is that the following import is showing as an error in my IDE?

import org.apache.poi.hwpf.extractor.WordExtractor;

It complains that hwpf is missing or not found. I have the following as my maven dependencies!


Is there anything that I'm missing?
