Hi,

Can I become a Java Developer and an Android Developer at the same time?

Thanks

There can be only one! Oh wait... that's a movie.

Short answer: of course -- in fact, since Android apps are written in Java, you can't be an Android developer without being a Java developer.

Longer answer: you're never just one type of developer -- at least not if you want to be a good one. And, before diving off into Android, I'd advise getting a good grounding in Java. Otherwise, you're going to get in over your head very quickly.

Yes you can not learn two technologies at a time

Java is a big technology containing many frameworks, it would be difficult you to understand both technology at a time.

If you get basic knowledge of Java then you can try but without knowing Java it is like "A baby boy born in Hell"

Well,

2 years back i had the same question when i started out

I guess you should learn core java from books like head first java or apress publications and then read a book called android for java developers.

If you directly dive into android, you'll be baffled as soon as you reach beyond hello world examples...
