I'd like to set up a cloud venue, say on google, and the application will automatically detect
any updates of my application on google drive....

1) Is it possible to allow my application to find my site on google drive?
2) Is Java application patchable?
Thanks
Jack

Hi, Jacky.

I think you may be interested in Java Web Start technology. You may start from this tutorial. It is quite old standard technology and is supported by Oracle. It can update your application automatically. However, it requires some kind of web server (such server may be in a cloud). I don't think that using google drive would be easy. you should write your own google drive client (or find a library) and application updater (no common libraries for that). So I suggest to stick with a Java Web Start for now. You may use Google App Engine (or some other cloud hosting service) to host your application and jnlp-files.
