Hi,

I was wondering if we have won one book already in a prior promotion, do we still stand a chance to win more books?

Also, we all have favorite authors. So by any chance, could we get books autographed/signed by the authors? This is book promotion and campaigning, so I thought may be this could be implemented?
Even not signed books are goodies, but signed books are awesome. :-)

Yes, you still stand a chance to win future book promotions. In fact, there are many members who have won in more than one promo. The previous winners are all listed here https://coderanch.com/how-to/java/BookPromotionsWinnersPage

The rules still stay the same https://coderanch.com/how-to/java/BookPromotionsRules

I'll let the book promo team answer that since they deal with the publishers of the books.

I believe that because the books are shipped directly from the publisher, that it'd be impossible for an author to get his hands on a book in order to sign it prior to shipping.

That said, some authors might be glad to sign your book if you want to handle the cost of shipping it back and forth to them. I've had a couple of people do that for my books.

I wish Javaranch comes with some magic way to get us the signed copy of the books. If it's not possible, our bad luck, perhaps.

That's lovely.

Sometimes you might have no means to write to them.
Sometimes they don't even know you.
They might be too busy to post the book back.
They may not like signing.

All authors who promote their books on the Ranch have an account here. Granted, not all of them became regular ranchers, so they might not visit again after the promotion ends, but one possible way is to try to contact them here.
