Hi

how could I dump a whole database using SQL. I need make a backup I am using DBVisualizer but I am not being able to do it the I prefer do it by hand

I am using "mysql -u test -p test -h svdapp221 fsp > backupname.sql" and "mysqldump -u test -p test -h svdapp221 fsp > backupname.sql" and another queries like that but I always get the same error

Any idea, please?

Regards

It looks like you're doing this inside ode of DBVisualizer - you need to do this on the command line, because "mysqldump" is an executable, not a SQL statement. Consult the MySQL documentation, it talks at length about how to use mysqldump.
