Hi

i am new to Web services. I am creating a web service using JAX - WS and deploying on tomcat. The client is a DOT Net client which will use my web services for processing. The client wants it to be asynchonous type messaging.

Have i to add any code or anotation on my server side code to make the mesaging async. or shall i only have to generate the wsdl file and give it to the client for him to genereate the corresponding bindings using wsimport.

help is appreciated.

Thanks Santosh

My requirement is that when i recieve a request from teh client, i will take that request and start processing. there are 4 steps in taht processing. and after each step i wil have to send a status message back to the client. I think i can do the following in my code above example

I will take the request. and as and when the process completes i will take the control to on of the methods similar to HelloWoldImpl from which i can call the callback method to send data back to the client.

is there any way where i can create a topic in tomcat and make my client subscribe it. So that as and when i need to send a message i can send it throught the topic??

You can try to integrate Active MQ with Tomcat to accomplish the Messaging functionality.

Active MQ
