Hello,
Yesterday i passed OCAJP7 with a score of 90 out of 100. I studied for about 2 months for this exam; when i started learning, Java was familiar to me, as i work as a Java Software Developer since May 2012. My study books were the one written by Robert Liguori and the one from Mala Gupta. I have also bought a set of 6 mock exams from enthuware. What i noticed was that the exam did not include questions about the new Java 7 features, the only thing related to Java 7 was the switch on strings. In terms of difficulty of the study material, Robert Ligouri's book was rather simple, his book i suppose it is based on the old exam, SCJA, because for example in Mala Gupta's book there is no objective regarding composition or association. Mala Gupta's book was more difficult. But even more difficult were the questions from enthuware, which i HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying them. My scores on enthuware were low, something between 50 and 70%; taking into account that i bought the mock tests a bit late, in the last week before the exam, i didn't have the time to go through all mock tests, i've tried only 2 of them, but i went through the objective related questions twice. I've read the two books that i mentioned twice. Even though there is no K&B out yet, it's not a problem to find study material for the certification.
