Hi,
Any one implemented Java Caching System (JCS) in application. Any performance issue and technical difficulty face in implementation.
Thanks in advance.

We have integrated JCS into our last release of an application we are retooling to perform better and take on twice the functionality. With the rewrite, we are no longer planning on using JCS and have decided to use OpenSymphony's OSCache for two reasons.
First, we are moving to Hibernate for our persistence mechanism. Hibernate used to come with JCS but has switched to OSCache.
Second, and more importantly, JCS does not appear to have an official release anywhere. It is available with a few projects, but it is not really supported as much as we would like. OSCache seems to have a bit more to offer in this area.
JCS works great and we've had no problems with it, it's mainly the state of the project itself that's convinced us to move away from it.
