Windows 7 SP1

Hello, I am trying to get my system set up as it says at the beginning. I have created a java directory off the root. I put 'jdk1.7.0_25' and 'jre7' in this java I just created I have set the PATH to ' C:\jdk6\BIN;C:\jdk6\JRE\BIN'

I put the small test program in my Notepad and pasted it into the DOS box, then tried to run the compiler(with the source code). For some reason, it is not finding the compiler.

You've installed JDK 1.7 and you're putting this in the PATH: C:\jdk6\BIN;C:\jdk6\JRE\BIN

Did you really install JDK 1.7 in a directory named "C:\jdk6"? That sounds illogical, and contradicts what you said before that: "I have created a java directory off the root. I put 'jdk1.7.0_25' and 'jre7' in this java"

Instead of putting C:\jdk6\BIN in the path, put the actual path to the bin directory of your JDK in the path.
