What are your thoughts. It's your assignment, I suggest you start thinking of approaches soon. What have you considered already?

Firstly Its not my assignment . Do you think a teacher will ever give an Mailing System in the Assignment ? I mentioned about the submission due to I have a presentation so if i can include it in my presentation it will be much more impressive.
I have considered to store all the online menbers username into the session and when a client sends a message through chatbox the message will be stored onto the database same as the mail were going but i think this will take a long time i need faster service so i not followed this approach so now will you please help me out

Ratchet down your offense-o-meter a bit there. An assignment does not have to be an academic assignment. Anything assigned to you is your assignment.

At this point in the design process you should be doing lots of diagrams on paper or a white board. This wikipedia article on use cases should give you an idea of the kinds of diagrams I mean.

Sufficiently refined diagrams will be a great help in your presentation.

Actually you have no idea whether that would take "a long time". In fact you have no idea at all how long it's going to take. What you are doing here is called "premature optimization" and it's something that you should not do.

In real life organizations which need to store data for a long period of time do use databases. And in the vast majority of cases that works perfectly well for them. So for you to decide in advance that it isn't going to work for you is rather misguided.
