in which class getParameter() method implemented ?  RSS feed

ServletRequest interface has this method. but in which class it get implemented first?

Why do you care? You shouldn't ! It probably depends on which container you are using.

it means web container implemented this method ? and What about the init() or other life cycle method of servlet, is it implemented in HttpServlet or GenericServlet class or somewhere else?

The actual class implementing all these servlet related methods depends on the actual implementation. Sometimes it gets quite complicated but all the programmer needs to know is to program to the defined API.

As an exercise, you can download the full source code of Tomcat or Jetty and explore for yourself. I guarantee you will learn more from that than from any post on this forum.

There is a difference: getParameter() is a method of an implementing class from the servlet container,
whereas the servlet class (and the life cycle methods) are provided by the developer.
