Problem in jasper reports

I am trying to generate reports using jasper reports and trying it to display in a jsp page.Suddenly my application crashes while generating reports.Am i doing anything wrong ?. Can somebody help me out this.
OS : Linux 8.0 Red Hat
Java : JDK1.4.2
Tomcat version :4.1.26

I dont have the Error Report file also.But this is happening consistently.
