If my project is going to use Session manager and if I use all javax.persistence annotations then is it going to work for all cases?

Google searches suggests that you can mix javax.persistence annotations with hibernate annotations but I don't know if it is with Session manager or Entity Manger. Can you help?

Another question

I found on JBoss documentation following note:
JPQL supports type safe criteria API queries. The hibernate offers an older, legacy Criteria API (org.hibernate.Criteria) which should be considered deprecated.
No feature development will target those APIs. Eventually, hibernate-specific criteria features will be ported as extensions to the JPA javax.persistence.criteria.CriteriaQuery.

So the projects already having session Manger implementation and wants to use type safe queries from JPA, has to access entity manger to run these queries. Is that the correct understanding?

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
