hi,
are the commons also tag libraries to be used in jsp's, or are they only usefull serverside (in either actions or servlet models) ?

I am not aware of a Commons project providing taglibs, but you might be interested in the Coldtags Suite.

Commons doesn't have taglibs specifically, but Jakarta in general does. See here.

The Jakarta project is technically meant for serverside Java however the Commons components are useful for Java development in general and not just for serverside development.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
