Rendering JCheckBox into JTable with MariaDB

One problem I have encountered was that MariaDB doesn't allow boolean as field types
So I have got to do this
But as the data comes in as a series of 1's and 0's, they were not converted into booleans, how do I fix that so
it renders a JCheckBox into my JTable correctly?





But if i do this

The cell becomes flashy by switching between text and a check box...

Yep
Class<?> getColumnClass(int column)

works instead
But one problem, the JCheckBox supersedes the Look and feel of the original JTable.
How do I avoid that?
