hi guys,

I am just wondering if Serialization is in the exam - it doesn't specify specifically though?

Has anyone encountered any questions on it?

Java I/O Fundamentals
Read and write data from the console
Use streams to read from and write to files by using classes in the java.io package including BufferedReader, BufferedWriter, File, FileReader, FileWriter, DataInputStream, DataOutputStream, ObjectOutputStream, ObjectInputStream, and PrintWriter

Thanks,
Kumar

Don't know if it is on the syllabus, but it is an important (and relatively) easy concept, especially if you are using Object I/O

Thanks Maneesh for your prompt reply. Will do the needful.

Didnt find this topic explained either in the online tutorial or in Tushar's book thats why I was wondering. Just now checked it is in Head First Java.

There is no harm in reading little extra (and be confident)
In fact, it is covered by Tushar's book (see page 242).
