Hello,
say there are 3 companies out there with a different software they sell each.
now I as an entrepreneur want to merge the software or combine it in a way that adds value.
What programming language should I learn to be able for the 3 different software
to interact?

And what if i want to repeat this process over and over again with always new software that's
coming onto the market?

Java?

Thanks!

Welcome to the Ranch.

Your question is difficult to answer, because it depends on many things. For example, in what way exactly do you want to combine the different software packages? In what language are the original software packages written? Do you have the source code? On what operating system(s) is the software running? And the answer will be different for different software packages, there's not one "best language" that's going to work for everything.

Java is a general-purpose programming language, just like most other programming languages, which means you can use it to program (almost) anything.
