Don't take this the wrong way, but do you even bother to refer to the API before dumping just about every question you have? I notice a pattern with your question
Q: I want to do X/ Is X possible?
A: Yes.
Q: How?

If you are looking for ready made answers, you are in the wrong place.
Try out on your own, show us your code (this does not mean just dumping some layout files), tell us where you are stuck and we will help point you in the right direction.

Really? What do you think enable means in the programming context?
Now that you know "it didn't work" did you look for any other method in the API which will let you do what you wish?
