Hi guys, I' ve passed the exam few days ago.
It took me some days to write down my experience but I've tried to be very detailed because I've seen there is a huge lack of resources on this exam.
You can give a look here if you want:

If one moderator of the Forum think that my experience can be useful for everybody, you can stick this post ;)

Thanks!

Hi friends, I have a doubt...

A few days ago I took the exam OCPJP 6 (1Z0-851).

Now, I want to take the exam JAVA SE 7 PROGRAMMER.
I could see that you need take two exam for get it.

i ) OCAJP7 (1Z0-803 - Java SE 7 Programmer I)
ii) OCPJP7 (1Z0-804 - Java SE 7 Programmer II)

- I could see that OCAJP7 is so similar to OCPJP6. I saw that there is only a bit of diference between they, only a bit. I think that people that take OCPJP6 with succes need only a bit of effort to take OCAJP7 with succes . Is it correct?
- OCPJP7 is other world! ;-)

But, what about 1Z0-805 - Upgrade to Java SE 7 Programmer?

Is 1Z0-805 = 1Z0-803 + 1Z0-804?

What way must I take?

I should take i) and ii) ? or I should take only 1Z0-805?

Thanks!

How always say, sorry for me english!

If you have already passed OCPJP 6, you can just take the upgrade exam i.e. 1Z0-805 to become OCPJP 7 Certified.

HTH,
Paul.

Hi Meeta, thank you very much. I truly appreciate that.

The exam isn't easy, really.
It's still an exam with multiple choice answers so it's not one of those impossible exam to take, but some question are quite complicated.

The most complex topics are:

Generics and collection
Thread
Concurrency

Sometime even question on class design are very hard.
I can't post the questions explicitly because it would be a violation of the Oracle policy, but I can give you several example.

Let say you have an interface that define a constant.
Than you have a class that define a variable with the same name.

You now have a class that define the variable as well and implements that interface and extends that class and use that identifier.

Which identifier are you actually using ?

Also questions on inner class are very complex in my opinion.

Let me know if you need any other clarification !

Yes , Luca I passed that last year but because of unavailability of proper study guide it took long time to feel confident to write ocjp 7 exam.
