Hi Kees,

Does java-monitor supports most JVM or only standard Sun/Oracle JVM? Is there requirement for minimum version of JVM supported?

Thanks,
Wirianto

Dear Wirianto,

Java-monitor works for Sun/Oracle JVM's from version 1.5 and newer. Compatible IBM JDK's work and OpenJDK works too. Java 1.4 does not have the wealth of JMX information that the 1.5+ JVM's have. Specialist VM's also lack JMX implementations.

In short: it works for almost any modern, mainstream JVM version.

What JVM are you using?

Personally, I'm using OpenJDK..however most of my clients are on IBM platform, so deployed to IBM JVM.

Dear Wirianto,

Then Java-monitor should work just fine for all of those.
