Has anyone read the reactive manifesto? I've read the titles and a bit of each page. It's long. Reads more like the Constitution than the Agile Manifesto.

Looks interesting. At work, we have an "initiative" to make our applications "resilient, scalable, responsive" among other things so certainly the language is something that many developers can relate to on some level.

The Reactive Manifesto is a set of guidelines on how to build applications that need to be responsive to changing data. Reactive Programming is a subset of the much larger family of Dataflow Programming that also includes Flow-Based Programming. The recent NoFlo is an example of Flow-Based Programming for Javascript. Take a look at J. Paul Morrison's book for the details, or for a wide view on everything dataflow, my upcoming book called "Dataflow and Reactive Programming Systems".

No, but I watched the movie.
If you're curious about reactive programming thete's a few of us who are planning to join the new Coursera course on the topic in a couple of weeks' time.
