Cocoa AWT: Not running on AppKit thread 0 when expected

I'm currently working on a Swing application that runs smoothly on Windows, but when I try to run it within a Mac environment (10.7), it produces the following result:
"Cocoa AWT: Not running on AppKit thread 0 when expected."
I have no idea what this means, especially since it's obviously Mac-related. On the net, I only get references to a bug report, no specific explanation about the nature of the error. Does anybody have an idea what this is all about? Even a general hint would help.
