What does file_full_path end up being? It's likely invalid.

It should be a server-relative URL to the image.

Please do not quote your own text. It just makes your posts confusing.

And please answer my question. What does it end up as when sent to the browser?

Well, if the src attribute is not being set to anything, I guess that's the problem, no?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
