Hello guys

Back a few years ago i passed the Sun Certified Ent. Architect Level 1 test. So i bought a new voucher and downloaded a project assignment from the SUN website. I should have submitted that material at that time, but i really got involved with some other work activities and i really even lost interest back there. So i am now up to a position requiring the SCEA certification and i just have the level 1, which i think is not acceptable, so i am wondering what could i do now since the certification process have changed a lot after Oracle took command of it.

I even tried to access that old assignment website from SUN, which still exists, but the login fails for a database error... seems it's outdated for sure.

Do you guys have any thoughts about what could i do? I really am not up to take a training or to lose that step i've already got.

Thank you!

Luciano

Hi Luciado

You need to be sure, but I think you need to start from the beginning again. See my tips - http://fernandofranzini.wordpress.com/2013/05/23/oracle-certified-master-java-ee-enterprise-architect-dicas-de-estudos/

Luciano,
Welcome to CodeRanch!

I recall the assignment expiring after some time. The question is whether you can pay for a new part 2 assignment or you need to retake part 1. I think you'll need to ask Oracle for that. Please do post the answer here in case anyone is wondering.

Note that it isn't a Sun vs Oracle problem. I got my part 1 SCEA and my part 2/3 OCMJEA. But I did it much closer together than you!
