Hello,
I've created my first WAR file for a app and I have a couple of symlinks in it. The issue I'm having is when Tomcat or Jetty loads the app the symlinks show as documents. Is there any way to get them to be symlinks during deployment?

Thanks!

Welcome to the Ranch.

On what operating system are you running your WAR file? Do you actually have symlinks inside the WAR file? (I didn't know that was even possible). Why do you want to use symlinks?

I read that a war file is nothing more than a zip file. So I created a zip file with my symlinks and renamed to ".war". I deployed it and worked just fine, other than my symlinks. My app is designed for linux and Mac OS X only. I have a couple of directories used for content in alternate locations that would make the WAR file way to big for deployment.

If it's not really supported I will research an alternative.

Thanks
