Upcoming Android Versions and the book

Dear Joel,

Thanks for your book, it's definitely going to help a lot of Android developers.
May I know if you expect the book to remain useful even for upcoming versions of Android OS (for next 12-18 months) because we see at least 1-2 upgrades to the OS every year?

Thanks

Hi Varun. We realize that the Android platform is still being actively developed and changing quickly. So, we plan to revise this book more often than we revise our other books where the technology isn't changing as quickly. Of course, Android is backwards compatible, so I think this book should still be useful for getting started even with the next few versions of Android. Thanks!
