Hi Forum,

I am new to JSTL.I want to set set value of a html hidden field using JSTL. The value to be set is passed from servlet by appending to url and then using send redirect. I used value='<c:out >' to get that parameter and put it to value and result was successful. But now I want to set the value just after the <body> tag to improve readability. What I want is to set the value of hidden field away from <input type="hidden"> and just after <body> opening using JSTL.How can I do it? Sorry for my bad and rude English. Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

No, and you should not. Moving it somewhere else is not going to improve clarity, it'll just make it more confusing. The value should be set within the element.
