Dear All,

I have been using JForum for sometime and think that its a great piece of software. I am a Java developer and I would love to make some contribution to the project. How can I make a contribution? Who can I speak to?
Thanks in advance.

It's great to hear that JForum is proving useful to you. There are a couple different JForum versions where you could get involved; I've written a bit about those since it gets a little confusing.

The bottom line is: In my opinion, if you want to see any contributions in a released version sooner rather than later, go with the GoogleCode hosted version. The contact for that is Andowson Chang. BUT: Being a committer to that version, I'm obviously biased. And I have a lot of respect for the original JForum team (of which just Rafael Steil is left by now, I think), and since he's toiling away at JForum 3 and would also appreciate help, you might want to check with him first to see if that's a realistic path for you.

(I have email addresses for both Andowson and Rafael; contact me via the email listed in my profile page here, and I can get you in touch with them.)
